Position: Senior Financial Planner/Wealth Manager

Job Description:
We are an established holistic financial planning firm with a rapidly growing practice located in Chatham, Ontario. We are seeking an experienced Financial Planner. You will be assigned a portfolio of established clients whereby you will become the lead contact on the file and will be responsible for all client consultations.
Responsibilities:
- You will be managing all areas of personal finance, including investments, tax planning, retirement planning, insurance, estate planning as well as cash management.
- Help clients articulate their goals and then build a roadmap to help them achieve them.
- Consult with third-party experts (ie. accountants, lawyers, banking/mortgage specialists, etc.) to provide a coordinated, seamless experience across all disciplines.
- Preparing financial planning projections and rate of return summaries using software and Excel spreadsheets.
- Preparing detailed post-meeting summaries as well as action items to follow through on future tasks.
- Providing ad hoc financial planning analysis to answer client questions.
Qualifications:
- Hold the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation or the Personal Financial Planning (PFP) designation or be enrolled in either program
- 5+ years in a financial advisory role
- MFDA licensed is an asset
- Insurance license or completion of the LLQP exam is an asset
- Organized with strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Must have intermediate experience with Excel
- Drive for continuous improvement and education

Job Description:
As a Financial Service Associate at Harbour Planning Group, you will play a crucial role in supporting the execution of trades and the daily operations of our Financial Planning office. This role is ideal for someone with strong financial industry experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. You will collaborate closely with Paraplanners and Financial Advisors to ensure the smooth operation of client trades and account management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily operational and administrative support to all advisors, ensuring accurate execution of trades, transfers, and account maintenance.
- Serve as the first point of contact for advisors, addressing inquiries related to account management, compliance, and platform navigation.
- Ensure all paperwork is compliant with MFDA and FSRA regulations, internal policies, and industry standards for all transactions and trades.
- Identify, resolve, and improve operational issues to enhance processes, systems, and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding trade updates, account queries, and operational matters, ensuring clear and timely information.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, transactions, and account activities.
- Assist in onboarding new clients, ensuring complete and compliant documentation.
- Support special projects, system upgrades, and process optimization to improve business efficiency.
- Stay updated on market trends and regulatory changes that may affect trading operations.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Prior experience in trading operations, investment management, or a similar financial role is required.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance practices in the financial industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Licensing: Life Insurance License and Mutual Fund License
- Additional Experience: Familiarity with trading platforms and financial software is a plus.
